Privacy policy

We like to take good care of our guests. Not only when they are staying with us, but also when it comes to processing their data. Your personal information will be used exclusively in line with Belgian and European legislation, including the Law of 8 December 1992 on the protection of privacy as amended by the Law of 11 December 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation as from its entry into force on 25 May 2018.

‘We’ are Kristien Luyckx, business manager, and Peter Vermeylen, the ‘helper’, as he calls himself, joint owners of B&B Molmento (and thus also of this website) located at 12, St.-Leonardusstraat in 2400 Mol, Belgium. You can reach us via info@molmento.be or +32 498 61 41 31. Our VAT number is BE05357.249.544. Now you know everything about us.

With this privacy statement, we wish to inform you in full transparency about the way we process your personal information and about the rights you enjoy. You are free to visit our website and check out all the information about B&B Molmento and our offer without having to disclose any personal data. Any time you provide your personal data (for instance, when you fill in and send us a contact form), you consent to the processing of those data. We treat your personal data in accordance with the policy described here and with legal requirements.

What personal data do we process and why?

If you send us a message via the contact form on this website, we ask you for the following information:
  • First name and surname – so we can address you correctly.
  • Email address – so we can respond to your question.
  • Phone number – sometimes it’s easier to explain things briefly by phone.
If you make a reservation, we also ask you for:
  • A mobile phone number – we hope that we will never need to use it, but sometimes things do not go quite according to plan even at B&B Molmento, and it can come in handy to be able to ring you up.
  • The name of your travelling companions – that way we can greet them personally.
  • If you are coming on a business trip, the name, address and VAT number of your company – so we can prepare an invoice.
If you order a gift voucher for someone, we ask for:
  • The name(s) of the lucky recipient(s) – to include on the voucher.
  • The name(s) of the person(s) giving the gift – so the lucky person will never forget you.
  • The address to which the voucher should be sent – so we can send it to you at no extra charge.

Sometimes we take note of your personal preferences when making a reservation or during your stay. For example, if you wish to have a vegetarian or gluten-free breakfast or if you prefer a double bed or twin beds. That way, we can ensure that your stay is fully attuned to your wishes. Everyone is welcome to stay at B&B Molmento. We will never ask you questions about specific personal matters such as religion or belief, sexual orientation, ethnic origin or other preferences. We do not need any of that information to pamper you during your stay.

How long will the information be kept?

B&B Molmento stores your information as long as it is needed for the purposes described above.
After your stay, we keep the data for a short period so that we can reach you if we find anything you have left behind in your room, for example.

By law, invoices have to be kept for 7 years.

Processing of personal data and sharing with third parties

We never sell your data to third parties. We share your personal data with other companies only when doing so is necessary for our services or to fulfil a legal obligation (such as a tax inspection or request by the police).
For purposes of our service provision, we work with the following partners:
  • Taccx Partners – for our bookkeeping;
  • Aroma – our webmaster;
  • Stardekk – for our reservation tool;
We have entered into a data processing agreement with these companies to ensure that they maintain the same level of security and confidentiality in handling your data. They use your data exclusively for the services they provide to us and thus also to you.

Your rights as a user

  • You have the right to access the data B&B Molmento has processed about you.
  • If your personal data are incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to ask us to rectify them.
  • You have the right to ask for your personal data to be erased. This is possible only:
    - if the personal data are no longer needed for the purposes for which they were collected;
    - if the processing of the data is less important than the justified reasons for erasure;
    - if the personal data were unlawfully processed;
    - in the event of a legal obligation.
Erasure is not possible where there is a legal requirement to store bookkeeping documents for 7 years.
  • You have the right to restrict or object to the processing of your personal data:
    - in the event of a dispute, during the period we need in order to verify the accuracy of the personal data;
    - if the data processing was unlawful;
    - if the data are no longer needed for the purposes for which they were processed and the user needs the data for a legal claim;
    - during the period which B&B Molmento needs in order to check whether a request for erasure of the personal data is sufficiently justified (see above).
  • You have the right to ask us personally for your data and to transfer it to another data controller.
  • If the processing of your personal data is based on your prior consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent.
You can exercise your rights by informing us thereof in a registered letter sent to the above-mentioned address.

You have the right to file a complaint about the processing of your personal data by B&B Molmento. To do so, you can contact the Data Protection Authority, 35, Drukpersstraat/rue de la Presse, 1000 Brussels, +32 (0)2 274 48 00 or commission@privacycommission.be.
But of course you can also contact us so that we can figure out how to solve the problem together. We are happy to help.
